Checking in and Stepping Up

Well hello beautiful souls! It has been more than a hot minute since I've updated my blog. It is one of the things I promised myself I would be diligent in doing in this New Year. But....sometimes life happens.

These cold temps and snow have gotten the best of me this winter and it has left me feeling a little gloomy and sad despite the wonderful things I should be celebrating in life. With Spring quickly approaching (fingers crossed despite the forecast of 2-6 inches more snow on Friday) I feel my spirits trying to dig their way out of the much and step up to the challenge of learning to live again!

So what have I been working on lately. Let's see... I am in the process of finishing up on the final edits of Love, Sam. It is by far the easiest and hardest thing I've ever written. It is based off events of my own life and someone I knew and loved who passed away. This is my chance at sharing his story with the world if he were still around to tell it. I'm writing it through his eyes and with his thoughts and words, sent on the wings of an angel from heaven, and it is one of the most incredible experiences I've ever had in this life. Never be afraid to listen to the whisperings of your heart, no matter who is doing the talking!

While I'm finishing up that, I've tried to start working on a project that I left mid-task and I'm stumped right now. Just a little bit of writer's block going on I guess. I have pulled "Skye Morningside Metaphysical Examiner: The L.O.T.U.S. Project" out of the proverbial closet and I'm in the process of lighting the fire and igniting the creativity necessary to finish it up. Wish me luck!

I just wanted to stop by and say hi and let you know that I have lots of things in the works for this year and that you will be seeing new things very soon.

I just needed a moment to reflect, and to breathe, and now I am ready to step up my writing game and open my mind to new possibilities that seem to be swirling around in my brain with every second that passes.

So look out world, the darkness of winter is fading, and once that sunshine hits my face, my heart, my soul, I will be back in full force and stronger than ever!

Once I see the light streaming in through the shadows, it will be time to rise, and I will dance once again!
