It's Been a Hot Minute...

Well, Hello!

May I first ask - what the heck has happened to 2020?!

I know it's been a hot minute, and I honestly don't know where the time has gone! As I sit to write this blog post, I realize it is almost my favorite season - fall - and I don't know that I've even posted at all this year. How sad is that? I promised myself I'd do better at this "this year", yet, here we are!

I mean, it's not like there's been a global pandemic going on or anything to distract us from the things we'd truly like to do, the things that set our hearts and souls on fire. But lately, I feel that old, familiar spark of creativity returning, and I'm more determined than ever to make every moment count now.

My hubby (Stephen St. Clair) and I have finally finished the project we've been working on for the better part of a year (with a lottttttt of breaks between writing). It's a book we've co-authored called Have Fate Will Travel and we couldn't be more excited to finish the editing process soon and hold a copy in our hands. Stay tuned! We'll be sharing our story and how this project first came to fruition. We've poured our whole hearts and souls into this book, and we can't wait to share it with all of you very soon!

I've been also working on a fantasy, time-travel novel called Portrait of Time. "Working" might be a bit of a stretch at this point since it's also been hit and miss. I've written bits and pieces here and there and the ideas tickling my brain came in short spurts and sometimes bursts and then fizzled out. Again, I have the pandemic to thank for that too. But as I said, I feel like there's no better time than the present to make it happen, and I'm focused on reconnecting with one of my heart's greatest passions - writing.

It's time to quit making excuses, find that focus, and dive deeper than I've ever been to rediscover all the little things that bring me joy and set my soul on fire again!
