Exciting News!

Two signed contracts in the last 4 weeks is a win!

First announcement: I submitted "The Indigo Prince of Temple Moor" on February 20th, 2017 and received the offer for a contract on March 10th, 2017!

Received edits back (sort-of) and was told that it still needed a lot of work before the editing process could begin. At first, I was distraught and disheartened to say the least. This is my first full-length fantasy manuscript and it's my baby! The main thing I need to fix throughout has to do with POV shifts that I wasn't even aware of until I reached out to my author's group for more clarification. I thought I was very careful throughout with punctuation, spelling, grammar, etc. and felt that I had grown so much as an author from when I submitted my first short last August. Boy was I wrong!

What I learned is that I have a LOT to learn and that just because you pour your heart and soul into something does not mean that it won't be imperfect. It is perfectly imperfect at this point in time. Going to dive into the editing this weekend and see if I can finish this masterpiece and finalize it for submission and publication soon!

Second announcement: I submitted "The Cusp of Magic" on April 4th, 2017 and received the offer for a contract on April 4th, 2017.

This is a 20,000+ word short-story that will be going into an anthology of stories called That Summer Day that should release sometime in June 2017.

I hope to wrap up "Skye Morningside: The Lotus Project" soon as well and turn that in for consideration for the Realms of Fantastic Stories anthology, release date August, 2017. Wish me luck!

I also have two more works in progress I hope to submit before August: One will be a short that is part of a Utopian horror anthology I have been asked to be a part of. The other is the 2nd in a series I started last year - "The Chronicles of Travelstead: Mount Crusarius Asylum".

I honestly cannot wait to see what the rest of this year holds.

Though I was discouraged this time a week ago, I will not let a little bump in the road slow me down or stop me for that matter. It only fueled the fire burning inside me to continue writing and better myself each and every day through the process.
